## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN WAS IN THE RUNUP AREA OF HIS HOME AIRPORT. HE WAS RUNNING UP AT NIGHT ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN. CONDITIONS WERE VMC. AIRMAN STATED THAT HE GOT CONFUSED WITH THE TAXI LIGHT AND THE LIGHTS AROUND THE RUN UP AREA FOR SOME REASON. AIRMAN ATTEMPTED TO LEAVE THE RUNUP AREA AND INADVERTENTLY TAXIED INTO THE GRASS. AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED FROM THE GRASS AREA WITH NO DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT. AIRMAN SUSTAINED NO INJURIES. AIRPLANE WAS TOWED BACK TO AIRMANS HANGAR.

IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE AIRMAN IS ELIGIBLE FOR COMPLIANCE COUNSELING.

COUNSELING CONDUCTED BY^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
