## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT THE GRASS RUNWAY WHICH RUNS PARALLEL TO RUNWAY 31 WAS WET WITH DEW AND THE BRAKING ACTION WAS POOR. PILOT STATED THAT HE LEFT THE FLAPS AT FULL FOR INCREASED AERO BRAKING AND APPLIED THE MAIN LANDING GEAR BRAKES. APPROXIMATELY 400 FEET BEFORE THE PAVED TAXIWAY THE PILOT MADE A CORRECTION WITH THE RUDDER IN AN ATTEMPT TO AIM ACROSS THE TAXIWAY TO THE NARROW GRASS AREA ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TAXIWAY. HE CONTINUED ON TO THE TAXIWAY WITH THE BRAKES LOCKED UP ONCE THE MAIN LANDING GEAR TIRES GOT ON TO THE PAVEMENT THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO COME DOWN AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER AND CAME TO REST ON IT'S CANOPY AND RUDDER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA393](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA393), Sep 1, 2021: Air Tractor AT-401B (N5081W), Storm Lake, IA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain adequate airspeed during a landing approach with a tailwind that resulted in a landing overrun and impact with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
