## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

2021-09-07 N69FW AEROMOT AMT-100 GEAR UP LANDING KLUM

NEW VARIABLE PITCH PROPELLER INSTALLED ON 09/03/2021 AT AIRCRAFT HANGAR ON ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^MECHANIC. A FLIGHT ON 09/07/2021 WAS PERFORMED TO VERIFY PROP OPERATION WITH A LANDING AT KLUM TO REPORT FLIGHT OPERATION RESULTS AND PAY FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. LANDING CHECKLIST WAS USED HOWEVER THE LANDING GEAR WAS NOT PUT DOWN THE DUE TO THE HIGH AIR SPEED AND DISTANCE FROM THE AIRPORT. THE PROP WAS MANUALLY CHANGED FROM THE CRUISE POSITION TO HIGH SPEED, BOOST PUMP TURNED ON, AND CHECKED THE SPOILER. ON THE LAST 400 FEET OF FINAL APPROACH, WITH LIGHT TO MODERATE TURBULENCE, THE PIC WAS CONCENTRATING ON MAINTAINING 110 KM AND MAINTAINING CENTERLINE. FLARE WAS PERFORMED FOR A WHEEL LANDING WITH LITTLE USE OF SPOILER AND ANTICIPATING FULL SPOILER AFTER TOUCHDOWN. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN AND THE PIC SAW THE PROPELLER ARC TURN WHITE WHEN THE PROP STRUCK THE GROUND AND REALIZED THE GEAR WAS UP, HE USED LEFT RUDDER TO STEER THE AIRCRAFT OFF THE RUNWAY SURFACE AND IN TO THE GRASS WHERE THE LEFT WING STRUCK A RUNWAY LIGHT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA407](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA407), Sep 7, 2021: Aeromot AMT-100 (N69FW), Menomonie, WI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to extend the landing gear.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
