## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS AFTER GETTING THE EXPERIMENTAL AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY AN FAA INSPECTOR FROM THE WILL ROGERS FSDO, THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^PILOT TOOK OFF SOLO ON FIRST FLIGHT OF HIS AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT AND IMMEDIATELY LOST ENGINE POWER. HAVING NO TIME TO TURN OR ENOUGH RUNWAY TO LAND AND ROLL-OUT PROPERLY, HE LANDED STRAIGHT AHEAD AND PURPOSEFULLY TURNED OFF THE ACTIVE ONTO A WIDE GRASSY AREA WHERE HE FORCED A GROUND LOOP TO AVOID EXITING AIRPORT PROPERTY THROUGH THE PERIMETER FENCE AND ONTO A BUSY STREET. MINOR AIRCRAFT DAMAGE SUSTAINED BUT NO INJURY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
