## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT APPROACHED FAMILY FARM FIELD FROM THE WEST LANDING TO THE EAST. PILOT LANDED ABOUT ONE THIRD OF THE WAY DOWN THE FIELD AT AROUND 40 MPH. AS PILOT APPROACHED THE LAST ONE THIRD OF THE FIELD THE PILOT FELT THEY WERE GOING TOO FAST AND HIT THE BRAKES HARD. THIS RESULTED IN THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPING OVER THE NOSE. PILOT AND PASSENGER EXITED THE AIRCRAFT WITH MINOR INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR21LA356](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR21LA356), Sep 23, 2021: Kitfox S7 (N696CP), Hooper, UT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s excessive brake pressure which resulted in the airplane nosing over and coming to rest inverted.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
