## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACCORDING TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATEMENT, HE ATTEMPTED TO START HIS AIRCRAFT AND THE BATTERY WAS TOO WEAK. HE THEN HOOKED UP THE JUMPER BOX IN ORDER TO CHARGE THE BATTERY ENOUGH TO START THE ENGINE. AFTER GETTING THE ENGINE STARTED, HE EXITED THE AIRCRAFT WHILE IT WAS STILL RUNNING TO DISCONNECT THE JUMPER BOX. AS HE DISCONNECTED THE BOX, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO ROLL AWAY. AS HE CHASED THE AIRCRAFT HE FELL BUT GOT UP AND CONTINUED PURSUIT. HE CAUGHT UP AND GRABBED THE AIRCRAFT PRIOR TO IT STRIKING THE HANGER, BUT COULD NOT STOP THE AIRCRAFT FROM ROLLING. AT THAT TIME THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED INTO THE HANGER DOOR PROPELLER FIRST TEARING A LARGE HOLE IN THE DOOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
