As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER DEPARTING RYAN AIR FIELD (RYN), N112LS, A ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL AIRCRAFT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^CRASHED WHILE CONDUCTING TRAINING MANEUVERS THIRTEEN MILES OUTSIDE OF THREE POINTS ARIZONA IN A TRAINING FLIGHT AREA NAMED "KEY STONE".

UNOFFICIAL PRELIMINARY RADAR DATA DEPICTS A TRACK CONSISTENT WITH THE ACCIDENT AIRPLANE N112LS, THAT DEPARTED THE RYN AREA AT APPROXIMETLY 1339 MST AND FLYING TO THE SOUTHWEST AT ABOUT 4,500 FT MSL WHERE THE PILOT COMPLETED 4 - 180-DEGREE TURNS OVER A SOUTHBOUND ROAD. THE PILOT THEN TURNED SOUTHWEST AND PERFORMED TWO 90-DEGREE TURNS FOLLOWED BY TWO FIGURE 8?S. THE FLIGHT CONTINUED TO THE SOUTHWEST WITH A DECREASED AIRSPEED; WHICH DROPPED TO ABOUT 65-70 MPH. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR22FA012](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR22FA012), Oct 17, 2021: Rockwell 112 (N112LS), Three Points, AZ, substantial damage, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain proper airspeed while maneuvering, which resulted in the exceedance of the airplane’s critical angle of attack and the airplane entering an aerodynamic stall.
