## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT HAD UNEVENTFUL OFF AIRPORT LANDING ON PRIVATE GRAVEL ROAD/DRIVEWAY DUE TO MISMANAGEMENT OF FUEL SYSTEM WITH PLENTY OF FUEL STILL ONBOARD.

NEXT MORNING THE PILOT DECIDED TO DO TWO PROGRESSIVELY FASTER PRACTICE RUNS (NOT FOR THE PURPOSE OF FLIGHT) TO EVALUATE THE GRAVEL AGAINST THE AC AND THAT HE WAS ABLE TO GET TO SPEED IN SAFE DISTANCE.

ON SECOND RUN, HE BEGAN TRYING TO STOP AND GRAVEL CAUSED HIM TO SKID AND WAS UNABLE TO STOP BEFORE THE END. LEFT WING STRUCK ROOF TOP LIGHT BAR OF POLICE CAR, SPINNING AC 90 DEGREES LEFT AND RUNNING PROP INTO 8' TALL CROSS WIRE FENCE. NO INJURIES. AC SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
