## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT 0936 CDT ON 10/22/2021 A CESSNA C172 AIRCRAFT, OWNED AND OPERATED BY A 14 CFR 141 FLIGHT SCHOOL, ATTEMPTED A TOUCH-AND-GO LANDING ON RUNWAY 02 AT THE KMWA AIRPORT. AFTER APPLICATION OF ENGINE POWER, AFTER LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF RUNWAY TO THE LEFT INTO THE GRASS. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY 600 FEET WEST OF THE RUNWAY NEAR THE AIRPORT BOUNDARY FENCE. THE AIRCRAFT MADE CONTACT WITH THE FENCE. THERE WAS ONE PERSON ON BOARD AND THE INCIDENT RESULTED IN NO INJURIES. THERE WAS MINOR LEFT WING IMPACT DAMAGE. THE PILOT OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS A STUDENT PILOT ON HIS FIRST SOLO. THIS WAS ALSO THE SUPERVISING FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR'S FIRST TIME SOLOING A STUDENT (NEWER FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR).

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
