## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 23, 2021, AT APPROXIMATELY 2140Z,^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, AN AIRBUS A-320-251N AIRCRAFT N304FR WAS IN ROUTE ON A SCHEDULED FLIGHT FROM NORFOLK, VIRGINIA (ORF) TO ORLANDO, FLORIDA MCO. THE FLIGHT CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY DUE TO AN ODOR ON THE FLIGHT DECK AND DIVERTED TO RALEIGH-DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA (RDU). THE FLIGHT CREW WAS USING SUPPLEMENTAL OXYGEN DURING THE EMERGENCY. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND WAS FOLLOWED TO TERMINAL 2 RAMP BY EMERGENCY PERSONNEL AND EVACUATED VIA EMERGENCY EXIT SLIDE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
