## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

EVIDENCE OF THE WRECKAGE FROM N360WM AS WELL AS A WRIITEN STATEMENT FROM THE PILOT INDICATE THAT THE AIRCRAFT ATTEMPTED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 34 AT THE REDDING AIRPORT (RDD).

DAMAGE AS WELL AS THE PILOT STATEMENT SHOW THAT THE PILOT FLARED HIGH CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO STRIKE THE PAVEMENT HARD WHICH COLLAPSED THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE COLLAPSED LANDING GEAR CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO GROUND LOOP. THE AIRCRAFT THEN STRUCK THE LEFT WING AND CAME TO A STOP. SIGNATURES FROM THE PROPELLER INDICATE THAT THE ENGINE WAS OPERATING AT THE TIME OF THE

CRASH.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR22LA028](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR22LA028), Nov 8, 2021: Bearhawk 4 (N360WM), Redding, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s improper landing flare which resulted in a hard landing and subsequent ground loop.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
