## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 8, 2021 PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ A COMMERCIAL AIRLINE PILOT WITH 18496 HOURS TOOK OFF FROM EARL SMALLS STOCKMAR AIR AIRPORT RUNWAY 28. THE PILOT HEADED NORTH FOR 3 MILES THEN TURNED WEST. CROSSING OVER HWY 61 AND RUNNING PARALLEL WITH GEORGIAN PARKWAY. THE PILOT'S SPEED AND ALTITUDE BEGAN TO DEGREASE UNTIL HE PILOT HIT A SPEED OF 45 KTS. WHICH IS 10 KTS BELLOW STALL SPEED WITH THE FLAPS SET AT 15 DEGREES. THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED A STALL SPIN AND CAME TO REST IN SOME TREES NORTH OF GEORGIAN PARKWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA22FA050](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA22FA050), Nov 8, 2021: Mooney M20F (N3284F), Villa Rica, GA, substantial damage, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain proper airspeed and his exceedance of the airplane’s critical angle of attack, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall and spin.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
