## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN22FA031](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN22FA031), Nov 13, 2021: Britten-Norman BN-2A (N866JA), Beaver Island, MI, substantial damage, 4 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's exceedance of the airplane's critical angle of attack during final approach, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall and loss of control at an altitude too low to recover.

## Other reports on N866JA (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19780317013549I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19780317013549I), Mar 17, 1978: Bnorm BN2 (N866JA), Tallahassee, FL. Pilot out of fuel. Landed on highway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
