## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT THERE HAD BEEN SIGNIFICANT ISSUES WITH THE ENGINE INCLUDING PROBLEMS WITH FUEL DELIVERY. ALTHOUGH THE ISSUES HAD BEEN RESOLVED, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MADE SEVERAL ?HIGH SPEED RUNS? DOWN THE RUNWAY TO VERIFY ENGINE OPERATION. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THEN TOOK OFF AND MADE A PATTERN CIRCUIT. DURING THE APPROACH SOUCY HAD DIFFICULTIES DURING THE FLARE AND MADE A HARD LANDING WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO PORPOISE. SOUCY APPLIED POWER TO GO AROUND BUT THE AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT CLIMB.

SOUCY REDUCED POWER AND LANDING ON THE RUNWAY WITH A ?SOFT? LANDING. N313RC SETTLED ONTO THE RUNWAY AND SKIDDED ON OFF THE PAVED SURFACE TO THE LEFT ONTO THE GRASS FACING BACK DOWN THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
