## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE LANDING ON RUNWAY 9R WITH A CROSSWIND OF 12 KNOTS GUSTING TO 21 PILOT TOUCHED DOWN AND REMOVED ALL FLAPS. WHILE ROLLING ON THE GROUND THE WIND GUSTED AND PUSHED THE TAIL OF THE AIRPLANE TO THE SOUTH CHANGING THE AIRCRAFT DIRECTION TO THE NORTHEAST. PILOT WAS HESITANT TO GIVE THE AIRCRAFT MORE RIGHT RUDDER AND IT IN TURN ROLLED TO THE NORTH SHOULDER OF THE RUNWAY. AS THE PLANE ENTERED THE GRASS SHOULDER THE NOSE GEAR SANK AND THE AIRCRAFT ENDED IN A NOSE DOWN TAIL UP POSITION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA22LA077](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA22LA077), Nov 23, 2021: Piper PA-32-301 (N81991), Orlando, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s inadequate compensation for winds during the landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
