## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FROM THE PILOT:

FOLLOWING IS A STATEMENT REGARDING THE OCCURRENCE AT LAKE HOOD 11/26/21 IN N2400S. ON 11/26/21 I WAS CONDUCTING PUBLIC AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS FOR THE STATE OF ALASKA IN N2400S RETURNING TO THE LAKE HOOD STRIP. LAKE HOOD WAS REPORTING VFR CONDITIONS, 8 F, OVC 060, 10SM, 360/08, ½ LOOSE SNOW AND WATER LANES CLOSED FOR ICE. THE APPROACH WAS FLOWN TO TOUCHDOWN ABEAM THE SECOND RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT ON RUNWAY 32 AT LAKE HOOD. THE INITIAL TOUCHDOWN OCCURRED IN AN AREA WHERE THE LANDING SURFACE WAS COMPLETELY SNOW COVERED AND ROLL OUT CONTINUED INTO AN AREA WITH MOSTLY GRAVEL EXPOSED. THE AIRCRAFT HAD AN UNKNOWN BRAKE MALFUNCTION (LOCKED RIGHT BRAKE) THAT WAS NOT PERCEIVED UNTIL THE END OF THE ROLLOUT AND RESULTED IN THE PROPELLER CONTACTING THE LANDING SURFACE AS THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP. I WAS THE ONLY CREW MEMBER ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT, I SUSTAINED NO INJURIES AND THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. THE TOWER WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS SHUTDOWN ON THE LANDING SURFACE AND REQUIRED A TOW. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED FROM THE RUNWAY BY ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY MAINTENANCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
