## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE FLIGHT WAS A TRAINING FLIGHT FOR A PILOT RATED STUDENT, WHO WAS SITTING IN THE FORWARD SEAT, AND THE CFI IN THE AFT SEAT. ON LANDING, THE BRAKES WERE MISSAPPLIED, RESULTING IN THE AIRCRAFT PITCHING DOWNWARD AND FLIPPING OVER, RESTING ON THE RUNWAY IN THE INVERTED POSITION. THE PILOTS EVACUATED WITH THE STUDENT SUFFERING MINOR INJURIES. THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT INCLUDES STRUCTURAL BENDS ALONG IT'S LONGITUDINAL AXIS, AND DAMAGED PROPELLER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA22LA094](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA22LA094), Nov 30, 2021: Piper J3C (N656CJ), Kissimmee, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s inadvertent application of brakes during touchdown, which resulted in a noseover.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
