## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT TOOK OFF FROM ANC AND PILOT NOTICED THAT THE RUDDER WAS DEFLECTING TO THE RIGHT. FULL LEFT RUDDER INPUT WAS USED TO RETURN RUDDER TO NEUTRAL. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO THE AIRPORT AND LANDED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER INCIDENT. UPON INSPECTION, THE RUDDER TRIM TAB WAS DISCOVERED TO BE BENT 90 DEGREES OUT OF FAIRED. TRIM TAB WAS RETURNED TO ITS PROPER POSITION AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE AND FLIGHT TESTED. AIRCRAFT HAS SINCE FLOWN SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT RECURRENCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
