## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON DECEMBER 02, 2021 AT APPROXIMATELY 1630 A CESSNA 172S, N969SP SERIAL NUMBER 172S8171^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^LANDED LONG ON RUNWAY 23 AT GEORGE T. LEWIS AIRPORT IN CEDAR KEY FLORIDA(KCDK) AND DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH RUNWAY TO STOP FOR LANDING OR TO CONDUCT A GO AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT WENT OFF THE RUNWAY AND INTO THE WATER DAMAGING THE PROPELLER AND THE BOTTOM OF THE ENGINE COWLING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
