## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DECENT TO RUNWAY REQUIRED LEFT AILERON AND SIGNIFICANT RIGHT RUDDER TO MAINTAIN RUNWAY ALIGNMENT. TOUCHDOWN WAS POSITIVE WITH NO BOUNCE. DURING ROLL-OUT A LEFT AND RIGHT SWERVING BEGAN AS THE TAIL WHEEL CAME DOWN, WITH A SUDDEN LEFT TURN CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO EXIT THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT WENT INTO A 5 FOOT DEEP, 20 FOOT WIDE SWALE AND CAME TO A SUDDEN STOP RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO LEFT WING, PROPELLER, AND SUBSTRUCTURE OF AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
