## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING AN INSTRUMENT APPROACH IN KAPF ON SUNDAY, 12/19/2021 THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR DOWN INDICATOR LIGHT FAILED TO SHOW A POSITIVE GEAR DOWN POSITION. I NOTIFIED ATC WITH THE INTENTION OF A LOW PASS REQUESTING THAT HE PUT THE BINOCULARS ON MY GEAR. HE INDICATED THAT THE GEAR APPEARED TO BE FULLY DEPLOYED. I THEN REQUESTED A VECTOR TO THE SOUTH IN ORDER TO REVIEW MY POH PROCEDURES WHICH REQUIRED A DEPLOYMENT OF THE NITROGEN GEAR BLOW DOWN BOTTLE. AFTER ?BLOWING DOWN? THE GEAR TO ASSURE FULL DEPLOYMENT WE RETURNED FOR ANOTHER LOW PASS FOR HIS VISUAL ON THE GEAR RESULTING WITH ANOTHER POSITIVE REPORT FROM ATC. THEN ASKED FOR ANOTHER FULL STOP APPROACH WHICH RESULTED IN A SUCCESSFUL LANDING AND TAXI TO OUR HANGAR. HAD THE AIRCRAFT SERVICED FOR CORRECTIVE ACTION TO INCLUDE LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT, GEAR CYCLING, REMOVAL OF THE NITROGEN, REPLACEMENT OF THE HYDRAULIC FLUID AND RECHARGING OF THE NITROGEN GEAR BLOW DOWN BOTTLE. AIRCRAFT LOGS DULY NOTED AND AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 20160818013279I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20160818013279I), Aug 18, 2016: Cessna 425 (N1262T), Naples, FL, No damage. The right engine would not power back on decent. The pilot elected to shut it down and landed without incident.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
