## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON TAKE OFF DURING CLIMB OUT AT APPROXIMATELY 500 TO 600 FEET AN EAGLE DOVE DOWN TOWARD LEFT SIDE OF AIRCRAFT CREATING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING LEADING EDGE. THE PILOT HEARD A LOUD THUD AND SAW A BIG DENT. THE PILOT FOUND AIRCRAFT TO BE LESS CONTROL AFFECTIVE AND HAVING A TENDENCY TO ROLL LEFT. THE PILOT NOTIFIED THE TOWER AND IMMEDIATELY RETURNED. THE BIRD WAS SPOTTED ON THE RUNWAY REPORTED BY ANOTHER AIRCRAFT. ON LANDING THE PILOT CALLED UP THE TOWER AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED FOR FURTHER REPORT SUBMISSION WITH FAA.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
