## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N1001X ARRIVED AT DESTINATION, NAPLES, FL (KAPF) AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO CLEAR THE RUNWAY AT A2. THE PILOT DID NOT SEE THE BLUE TAXIWAY LIGHTS AND ONLY SAW THE SIGN AS HE WAS SLIGHTLY FORWARD OF THE A2 SIGN. HE STOPPED AND MADE A HARD LEFT TURN TOWARDS THE TAXIWAY AND ENTERED THE GRASS. HE STOPPED AGAIN TO ASSESS THE SITUATION AND CONTINUED WITH THE TURN. SINCE HIS LINE OF SIGHT WAS BLOCKED BY THE WING, HE STRUCK THE SIGN AND DAMAGED THE UNDERSIDE OF THE RIGHT WING. THE COMPOSITE WING PUNCTURED AND THE REMAINING FUEL SPILLED OUT AT THE SCENE. NO INQUIRIES TO THE PILOT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
