## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 01/10/2022, STUDENT PILOT^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WAS PRACTICING SOLO TOUCH-AND-GO'S AT FORT WORTH MEACHAM (KFTW) IN PA-28-161, N42998. STUDENT WAS LANDNING ON RUNWAY 35. WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS IN THE FLARE TO LAND, THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO PORPISE. THE STUDENT LANDED HARD AND USED EXCESSIVE RIGHT RUDDER AND BRAKE WHICH CAUSE THE AIRCRAFT TO DEPART THE RIGHT SIDE OF RUNWAY 35, IMPACTING A RUNWAY SIGN. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON TAXIWAY C.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
