THE ROTORCRAFT SUBSEQUENTLY DESCENDED, MADE CONTACT WITH THE TOP OF A 40' TREE, STRUCK A UTILITY POLE WIRE, IMPACTED THE STREET AND BOUNCED, THEN CAME TO REST ON THE PROPERTY OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. A SURVEILLANCE VIDEO ALSO SHOWED THE ROTORCRAFT BANKING HARD TO THE RIGHT, RAPIDLY DESCENDED AND APPEARED TO REGAIN STABLE FLIGHT SHORTLY BEFORE GROUND IMPACT. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA22FA105](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA22FA105), Jan 11, 2022: Eurocopter Deutschland EC135 P2+ (N531LN), Drexel Hill, PA, substantial damage. Probable cause: An inflight attitude upset for undetermined reasons that resulted in a rotor system overspeed, a reduction of power from both engines, and a subsequent hard landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
