## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 11, 2022, THE PILOT OF N1333C, A CESSNA 177B WAS PRACTICING LANDINGS WHILE OPERATING THE AIRCRAFT FROM THE RIGHT SEAT. THERE WAS ONE PASSENGER ON BOARD IN THE LEFT SEAT. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED OUT OF MILLARD (MLE) IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA AND PRACTICE LANDINGS WERE PERFORMED AT THE WAHOO MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (AHQ) IN WAHOO NEBRASKA. DURING THE THIRD LANDING ATTEMPT, PRIOR TO TOUCHING DOWN, THE PILOT INITIATED A GO AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT TRAVELED OVER THE FIELD TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY WHERE THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP AFTER THE LEFT WING, PROPELLER, NOSE AND LANDING GEAR IMPACTED THE GROUND. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE IMPACT RESULTED IN SUBSTNTIAL DAMAGE TO THE FORWARD FIREWALL, FORWARD FUSELAGE, ENGINE, LEFT WING, RIGHT GEAR, RIGHT SIDE OF STABILATOR AND BELLY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FIRST MOVED FROM THE ACCIDENT SITE TO ANOTHER LOCATION ON THE AIRFIELD, THEN DISASSEMBLED AND TRUCKED TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AT THE SEWARD AIRPORT IN SEWARD, NEBRASKA FOR FURTHER ASSESSMENT BY THE OWNER'S INSURANCE COMPANY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN22LA099](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN22LA099), Jan 11, 2022: Cessna 177B (N1333C), Wahoo, NE, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during the landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
