## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 12, 2022, ON OR ABOUT 1530 CST, A MAULE MXT-7-180 ENCOUNTERED A RUNWAY EXCURSION OFF OF RUNWAY 22 AT DEXTER B FLORENCE MEMORIAL AIRPORT (KADF). THE STUDENT PILOT WAS RECEIVING INSTRUCTION ON HIS FIRST FLIGHT BACK AFTER A YEAR BREAK. ON ONE OF THE LANDINGS, THE CFI DEMANDED A GO-AROUND, THE RIGHT MAIN TOUCHED THE GROUND AND THE STUDENT PILOT "APPLIED FULL BACK PRESSURE". THE AIRCRAFT STUCK THE TAIL AND VEERED OFF INTO THE GRASS, STRIKING BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT WING TIPS, DAMAGING A RUNWAY LIGHT AND COMING TO REST ON THE RUNWAY. DAY, VMC CONDITIONS EXISTED. NO INJURIES AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
