## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS ON A NORMAL APPROACH TO LANDING AT FALL CITY AIRPORT. HE SAID THAT DUE TO THE SHORTER WINGSPAN OF THIS MODEL OF AIRCRAFT, THE APPROACH IS NORMALLY CONDUCTED WITH THE NOSE AT AN INCREASED ANGLE, REDUCING THE FORWARD VISIBILITY ON APPROACH. HE MISJUDGED THE TOUCHDOWN POINT AND LANDED LONG. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED THE LANDING ROLL OFF OF THE END OF THE RUNWAY INTO THE WET GRASS AND MUD.

THE NOSE GEAR SUNK INTO THE MUD CAUSING THE LINKAGE TO BEND AND THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE MUD BENDING THE BLADES.

## Other reports on N99WR (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19960713016992A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19960713016992A), Jul 13, 1996: Amtr GLASAIRIII (N99WR), New Haven, MI, Destroyed. Aircraft was struck by N3291U.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
