## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

INFORMATION GATHERED FROM PILOT FLIGHT SAFETY REPORT "CAPTAIN, CRJ900: AFTER NORMAL FLIGHT AND LANDING AT KJFK WE WERE TAXING INTO GATE B45 AT JFK TERMINAL 4. WE WERE CLEARED INTO THE GATE AREA BY RAMP CONTROL; THERE WERE RAMPERS WAITING FOR US AS WE ARRIVED. AT GATE B43, THE GATE NEXT TO OUR ASSIGNED GATE, ANOTHER AIRCRAF WAS WAITING ON PUSH BACK. THERE WAS ANOTHER RAMP CREW WITH THAT AIRCRAFT ALSO. THE MARSHALS STARTED TO WAVE US IN. I LINED UP ON THE CENTER LINE AT GATE B45 AND BEGAN TO TAXI IN. A FEW FEET SHORT OF THE STOP LINE THE LEAD GAVE US A VERY SUDDEN STOP. I STOPPED THE AIRCRAFT AND SET THE PARKING BRAKE. WITHIN A FEW MINUTES IT BECAME CLEAR WE HAD COLLIDED WITH THE AIRCRAFT AT GATE B43. WE DEPLANED THE PASSENGERS NORMALLY VIA THE JET BRIDGE."

WE HAVE CONCLUDED OUR INVESTIGATION AND IT APPEARS THAT THE GROUND CREW WAS AT FAULT.

THE CERTIFICATE HOLDER IS WORKING WITH THE GROUND CREW VENDOR ON A COMPREHENSIVE FIX.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
