HE STATED THE AIRPLANE WAS LEVEL WITH THE FLAGPOLE AT THE CEMETERY WHICH IS JUST SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 13 AND LINNVILLE RD SE WHERE THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE GROUND. THE FLAGPOLE IS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT 1040 FT MSL TO THE TOP OF THE POLE.

IMPACT DAMAGE ON TREES INDICATED PROPELLER WAS TURNING AND WITNESS STATEMENTS CONFIRMED ENGINE WAS MAKING POWER AT TIME OF IMPACT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN22FA113](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN22FA113), Feb 1, 2022: Cessna 182T (N716MC), Heath, OH, destroyed, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain altitude after takeoff, which resulted in collision with trees and terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
