## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FEBRUARY 2, 2022, AIRCRAFT N439PT OPERATED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, UPON LANDING, THE LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED SLOWLY WHILE TURNING OFF RUNWAY 9R AT D TURN OFF. AN INITIAL OBSERVATION REVEALED THAT THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINIMAL DAMAGE TO ITS LEFT UNDER BELLY, (SCRATCHES), THE LEFT ENGINE PROP STRUCK THE GROUND CAUSING DAMAGE THE PROP, NO ONE WAS INJURED, AND THE A/C WAS LIFTED BACK ON ITS GEAR AND MOVED TO THE HANGER FOR FURTHER EVALUATION. UPON REVIEW OF MAINTENANCE RECORDS AND PROCEDURES ALONG WITH INSPECTION OF GEAR RETRACTION AND EXTENSION CHECKS, WITH ALL CORRESPONDING LIGHTS DEMONSTRATING TO OPERATE AS DESCRIBED IN THE PIPER MAINTENANCE MANUAL, ALL TEST WERE SATISFACTORY AND PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. ADDITIONALLY THE AIRCRAFT WILL REMAIN OUT OF SERVICE DUE TO PROPELLER DAMAGE AND A REPLACEMENT IS INSTALLED. ONCE ACCOMPLISHED THE OPERATOR WILL CONTACT THE PI FOR FURTHER SURVEILLANCE PRIOR TO RETURN TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
