## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT LANDED SAFELY ON RUNWAY 21L AT PDK AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO TURN RIGHT AT THE END. PILOT WENT PAST TAXIWAY INTO THE OVERRUN AREA. PILOT INFORMED CONTROLLER THEY HAD MISSED THE TAXIWAY AND ENTERED THE OVERRUN AND THAT THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO SAFELY MAKE A 180, WHICH THEY DID. AIRCRAFT DID NOT ENTER THE EMAS. PILOT STATED THEY WERE FOCUSED ON SEARCHING FOR THE LEAD OFF LINE AND MISSED OTHER VISUAL CUES UNTIL THEY HAD PASSED THE THRESHOLD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
