## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS AIRCRAFT WAS ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY 2 AT MO06 WHEN THE PILOT DECIDED TO INITIATE A GO-AROUND DUE TO LENGTH OF THE RUNWAY AND THE ANTICIPATED TOUCH DOWN POINT ON THE RUNWAY. BASED ON EXAMINATION OF THE ACCIDENT SCENE AND INFORMATION FROM THE PILOT, AS THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO GAIN ALTITUDE TO AVOID THE HILL AND TREES AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY, INSUFFICIENT AIRSPEED WAS MAINTAINED AND THE AIRCRAFT WHEN INTO A STALL. THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE TREE TOPS BEFORE DESCENDING INTO THE FOREST BELOW AND IMPACTING THE TERRAIN. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST INVERTED WITH THE TAIL IN THE AIR AT ABOUT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE AND THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT FACING NORTHEAST.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN22LA116](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN22LA116), Feb 8, 2022: Beech C35 (N1908D), Shell Knob, MO, destroyed. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain airplane control that resulted in an aerodynamic stall during approach and impact with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
