## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 02/10/2022 @ 1430 MST, A CESSNA 180, N4750B, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AFTER LANDING AT CARRIZOZO, NM (F37). DURING THE LANDING ROLL-OUT ON RUNWAY 24, THE PILOT LOST CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS. THE AIRPLANE HIT A DEEP RUT WHICH GRABBED THE RIGHT MAIN TIRE AND SPUN THE AIRCRAFT AROUND, CAUSING THE LEFT WING TO CONTACT THE GROUND BRINGING THE AIRPLANE TO A STOP. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND A VFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS NOT FILED FOR THE PERSONAL FLIGHT. THE CERTIFICATED COMMERCIAL PILOT WAS NOT INJURED AND AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM ALAMOGORDO (ALM) APPROXIMATELY 1400 MST ON 02/10/2022.

BASED ON THE STATEMENT FROM THE PILOT, THE IIC DETERMINED THAT THIS ACCIDENT WAS ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE PILOT?S LACK OF PROFICIENCY OF LANDING PROCEDURES. IN LIGHT OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES, THE PILOT WAS COUNSELLED BY AN OPERATIONS AVIATION SAFETY INSPECTOR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
