## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE STUDENT PILOT WAS RETURNING TO KPSM RUNWAY 34 FROM A SOLO FLIGHT DUE TO REPORTED INCREASING WINDS AND GUSTS. DURING THE LANDING THE PLANE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL STRONG GUSTS OF WIND. THE PLANE BOUNCED THE LANDING. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO PUSH THE PLANE BACK ONTO THE RUNWAY. IN SO DOING, THE NOSEGEAR WAS OVERSTRESSED AND BROKE WHICH CAUSED THE PROP TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY.

THE AIRCRAFT REMAINED ON THE CENTERLINE OF THE RUNWAY THROUGHOUT THE EPISODE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
