## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 13 FEBRUARY 2022, AT 0930 MST, A 2016 'LITTLE BALLOON EXPERIMENTAL' O-84 HOT AIR BALLOON, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, EXPERIENCED A HARD LANDING IN TURBULENT/THERMAL WIND CONDITIONS AT THE ALBUQUERQUE, NM BALLOON FIESTA PARK, CAUSING FIRE DAMAGE TO MULTIPLE LOWER BALLOON PANELS. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND A VFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS NOT FILED. THE FAA CERTIFICATED COMMERCIAL PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT THE ALBUQUERQUE BALLOON FIESTA PARK IN ALBUQUERQUE, NM.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
