## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 27, 2022 AT APPROXIMATELY 15:46 CDT, A CESSNA 140 BEARING REGISTRATION NUMBER N2609N, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, MADE A FORCED LANDING ON HIGHWAY 54 NEAR MILE MARKER 370(10 MILES NORTH OF VAN HORN DUE TO LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED ON A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT. VISUAL METEROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND A VFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED MINOR DAMAGE, AND THE PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM SETTLE, WASHINGTON ON MARCH 27, 2022.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
