## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE COMMERCIAL RATED PILOT WAS IN THE LANDING PHASE OF FLIGHT AND DID NOT HAVE A CONFIRMED LANDING GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION. HE ASKED THE GROUND CREW TO VERIFY THE POSITION OF THE LANDING GEAR. THE OBSERVER VERIFIED THAT THE NOSE GEAR WAS NOT LOCKED. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED A LANDING WITH A NOSE HIGH ATTITUDE AND AS THE MAIN GEAR CONTACTED THE RUNWAY SURFACE THE LEFT MAIN COLLAPSED. THIS ACTION FORCED HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TO EXTEND AND LOCK THE NOSE GEAR. THERE ARE NO INJURY'S. THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS MINOR. AIRCRAFT RECORDS WERE REVIEWED AND FOUND TO HAVE PROPER AIRCRAFT CERTIFICATION AND CURRENT AIRCRAFT INSPECTION STATUS. DIAGOSTICS OF THE LANDING GEAR SYSTEM FOUND THE EMERGENCY EXTEND RELIEF VALVE WAS BYPASSING. AN FAA FORM 8010-4 MALFUNCTION OR DEFECT REPORT WAS SUBMITTED TO AFS-620.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
