## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 8, 2022 N3156D LOSS CONTROL IMMEDIATELY AFTER TAKEOFF FROM JOHN NICHOL'S FIELD. IT APPEARS THE MECHANIC DID NOT PROPERLY INSTALL THE UPPER RIGHT WING STRUT BOLT ALLOWING THE STRUT AND THE WING TO SEPARATE AFTER TAKEOFF. THIS CAUSED A LOSS OF CONTROL TO THE AIRCRAFT, PILOT WAS ABLE TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT BUT DURING THE LANDING THE AIRCRAFT RIGHT WING HIT THE GROUND, BECAUSE OF THE CONTROL ISSUES FROM THE MISSING BOLT, CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
