## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

JUST AFTER TAKE OFF, GEAR WAS UP, AIRCRAFT WAS ABOUT 1000 FEET FROM END OF RUNWAY AND 600 FT ABOVE GROUND LEVEL WHEN A BIRD STRUCK THE WINDSHIELD AND THEN THE RIGHT ENGINE. PILOT MONITORED THE ENGINE INDICATIONS AND ALL SEEMED NORMAL. THE RIGHT ENGINE WAS MAKING AN ABNORMAL NOISE. LEVELED OFF, MADE A LEFT TURN AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
