## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT APPROXIMATLY 1430 LOCAL TIME ON 04/16/22 N400WK, A CESSNA 650, WAS ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY 23L AT RALEIGH/DURHAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WHILE ON APPROACH TO RDU N400WK REQUESTED DIRECT TO THE GPS FIX APUCU FOR APPROACH TO RUNWAY 23L. ATC ADVISED OF SLOWER TRAFFIC AHEAD OF THEM FOR THE SAME RUNWAY. CREW REPORTED THAT THEY MODIFIED THEIR APPROACH AND BEFORE LANDING CHECKLISTS TO KEEP SPACING FOR THE SLOWER TRAFFIC. BECAUSE OF THESE CHANGES THEY DID NOT REALIZE THEY HAD NOT PUT DOWN THE GEAR AND STATED THAT THEY DID NOT GET THE GEAR HORN AS THEY SHOULD HAVE ONCE THEY WENT FULL FLAPS FOR THE LANDING. WHILE IN THE LANDING FLARE THE CREW REPORTED HEARING A SCRAPPING NOISE AND EXECUTED A GO AROUND. WHEN THEY WENT TO CLEAN UP THE AIRCRAFT FOR THE GO AROUND THEY REALIZED THE GEAR HANDLE WAS STILL IN THE UP POSITION. THEY PUT THE GEAR DOWN AND DID A LOW PASS FOR ATC TO CONFIRM THE GEAR WAS DOWN. THEY CONTINUED IN THE PATTERN AND LANDED ON 23L WITHOUT ANY FURTHER ISSUES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
