## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

4/20/2022 PIC MADE DETERMINATION TO MOVE AIRCRAFT N64518 FROM VISNAW LAKE (T66) TO HIS HOME AIRPORT AT TULAKES (6AK8) DUE TO DETERIORATING ICE CONDITIONS. ALTERNATE LOCAL LOCATIONS WERE SOUGHT OUT BUT NO AVAILABILITY. PIC SURVEYED SOUTHERN END OF TULAKES AIRPORT (6AK8) PRIOR TO DEPARTURE FROM VISNAW LAKE (T66). THIS AIRPORT IS SEPARATED BY W TULAKES AVE. THE SOUTHERN END OF RUNWAY WAS STILL FROZEN BUT THE LAST 300 FEET WAS VERY SOFT MUD. PIC NOTED A SNOW BERM THAT WAS APPROXIMATELY 3 FEET HIGH AT W TULAKES AVE THAT CROSSES RUNWAY. SAFETY OBSERVER WAS PRESENT TO ENSURE NO TRAFFIC WAS STOPPED DURING LANDING APPROACH. APPROACH WAS STRAIGHT IN AND STABILIZED, AIRSPEED WAS 50 MPH AND AS PIC APPROACHED THE TOUCHDOWN POINT AND POWER WAS PULLED. PIC ENDED UP 1 FOOT LOW AND WHEELS HIT THE SNOW BERM RESULTING IN THE AIRCRAFT TO PITCH FORWARD. ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO PITCH UP AND ADD POWER BUT DUE TO THE ALTITUDE OF INITIAL IMPACT WAS UNABLE THUS HITTING NOSE LOW CAUSING PROP AND RIGHT WING DAMAGE.
