## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS A STUDENT PILOT ON SOLO FLIGHT IN THE PATTERN. HE STATED THAT HE THOUGHT HE WOULD LAND WITHIN THE FIRST 1/3 OF THE RUNWAY WITH SUFFENCIENT ROOM TO STOP. HOWEVER, HE LANDED TO FAR DOWN THE RUNWAY AND DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH RUNWAY AVAILABLE TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY TO LEFT, APPROXIMATELY 100 FT FROM THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT THEN WENT OFF A STEEP EMBANKEMNT. THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE GROUND AND FLIPPED THE AIRCRAFT.
