## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY 30 AND MADE A NORMAL THREE POINT LANDING IN HIS TAILWHEEL AIRCRAFT. IT WAS ONE OF HIS BEST LANDINGS HE NOTED. WINDS WERE 3 TO 4 KNOTS. WEATHER WAS NOT A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR. AIRCRAFT SWERVED TO THE LEFT UPON TOUCHDOWN. THE PILOT TRIED TO CORRECT BY INITIATING A GO AROUND WITH FULL POWER AND RIGHT RUDDER WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO TURN TO THE RIGHT HE STATED. AIRCRAFT WENT OFF THE RUNWAY AND ACROSS THE GRASS WITH NO GAIN IN ALTITUDE ON THE GO AROUND, STRIKING A PAPI LIGHT FOR RUNWAY 22. MAIN GEAR WAS FOLDED BACK AND PROPELLER WAS SHEARED, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO STOP AND COME TO A REST ON THE EDGE OF RUNWAY 22 PAVEMENT AND THE GRASS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
