## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON AUGUST 26, 2022, AT APPROXIMATELY 1155 CST, A PIPER ARROW II, N6878J, WAS PERFORMING PATTERN WORK AT KINGFISHER AIRPORT (F92) KINGFISHER, OKLAHOMA. THE PILOT STATED HE INITIALLY BECAME DISTRACTED BY ANOTHER AIRCRAFT IN THE PATTERN ANNOUNCING THEIR INTENTIONS TO LAND. THIS DISTRACTION CAUSED THE PILOT TO LOSE FOCUS ON FOLLOWING HIS LANDING CHECKLIST AND HE SUBSEQUENTLY MISSED THE STEP WHERE HE WAS TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. CONSEQUENTLY, THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITH GEAR UP AND CAME TO REST IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RUNWAY. AIRCRAFT DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT BUT THE PROPELLER DID RECEIVE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DUE TO THE SUDDEN STOPPAGE ONCE IT CONTACTED THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS THEN MOVED OFF THE RUNWAY BY AIRPORT PERSONNEL AND RELOCATED TO A HANGAR FOR STORAGE AND EVENTUAL REPAIR. VERBAL COUNSELING WAS PERFORMED OVER THE PHONE STRESSING THE IMPORTANCE OF FOLLOWING THE AIRCRAFT CHECKLIST THROUGH ALL PHASES OF FLIGHT AND DOCUMENTED THROUGH SAS ACTIVITY SW15202201966.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
