## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE WICHITA FSDO HAS CONCLUDED THROUGH EYEWITNESS ACCOUNTS, WITNESS STATEMENTS, AND ON-SITE ANALYSIS THAT THE CAUSE OF ACCIDENT FOR N37888 ON 04/28/2022 WAS LOSS OF CONTROL DUE TO UNRECOVERABLE STALL AND SPIN AT AN ALTITUDE OF UNDER 300 FEET AGL.

WHILE ENTERING A LEFT BASE TURN AFTER TAKEOFF FROM SYRACUSE-MUNICIPAL AIRPORT RUNWAY 18, THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE WAS STILL UNDER POWER BUT BEGAN RUNNING ?ROUGH? ACCORDING TO WITNESS REPORTS. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED A 180 DEGREE TURN IN ORDER TO LAND BACK ON RUNWAY 18. THIS TURN, COMBINED WITH A CRITICALLY-HIGH ANGLE OF ATTACK AND LOW AIRSPEED INITIATED A STALL/SPIN. THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE GROUND PARALLEL WITH THE 1000 FOOT MARKERS OF RUNWAY 18. THIS ACCIDENT IS DELAYED FATAL DUE TO PILOT EXPIRING 21 DAYS POST-ACCIDENT.
