## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

)N 05/11/2022 AT KCFO AIRPORT DURING AN INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT, THE STUDENT MADE A CROSSWIND LANDING AND AFTER TOUCHDOWN ON THE LANDING ROLL THE AIRCRAFT STARTED VEERING TO THE LEFT. WHEN FULL RIGHT RUDDER AND RIGHT BRAKE WAS APPLIED TO CORRECT, THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNRESPONSIVE. THE RIGHT BRAKE FELT SOFT AND WENT FULL TO THE FLOOR WITH NO CHANGE IN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED OFF THE RUNWAY HITTING THE A7 TAXIWAY SIGN WHERE IT CAME TO A STOP. INITAL INSPECTION REVEALED PROPELLOR DAMAGE AND DAMAGE TO THE A7 TAXIWAY SIGN, AS REPORTED BY AIRPORT OPERATIONS. THERE WERE 2 SOLES ON-BOARD AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. NO INJURY WAS REPORTED BY EITHER THE INSTRUCTOR OR THE STUDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
