## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 16, 2022, ABOUT 1136 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME, A CESSNA P-210 WAS DAMAGED WHEN IT WAS LANDED WITH THE GEAR UP AT THE BOWIE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (0F2), BOWIE, TEXAS. THE PRIVATE PILOT AND THREE PASSENGERS WERE NOT INJURED. THE AIRPLANE WAS OPERATED AS A TITLE 14 CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 91 PERSONAL FLIGHT. THE PILOT IN COMMAND STATED THAT HE HAD PLACED THE GEAR IN THE DOWN POSITION AND SAW A GREEN LIGHT INIDCATING THAT THE GEAR WAS DOWN AND SAFE. HE STATED THAT HE ALSO THOUGHT HE SAW THE LANDING GEAR WHEEL IN HIS PERIPHERAL VIEW OUT THE LEFT COCKPIT WINDOW. HE STATED THAT WHEN HE LANDED, THE GEAR COLLAPSED.

THE AIRPORT MANAGER, WAS CONTACTED AT THE SCENE. HE STATED THAT SEVERAL WITNESSES THAT WERE NO LONGER AT THE SCENE TOLD HIM THAT THEY DID NOT SEE THE LANDING GEAR DOWN WHILE THE AIRPLANE WAS LANDING.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS MOVED FROM ITS RESTING PLACE TO THE PARKING APRON AT 0F2. WHEN THE AIRPLANE WAS LIFTED, THE GEAR WAS CYCLED DOWN. IT WAS FOUND THAT THE LANDING GEAR OPERATED NORMALLY. IT WAS TIED DOWN ON THE PARKING APRON WITH THE GEAR DOWN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
