PILOT STATEMENT

ON JUNE 4, 2022 AT APPROXIMATELY 8PM, ON LANDING AT 1G3, DIRECTLY AFTER

TOUCHDOWN A DEER RAN ONTO THE RUNWAY DIRECTLY AT MY AIRPLANE AND STRUCK THE PLANE, AND WENT UNDER THE WING AND THE MAIN GEAR RAN OVER HIM. I PROCEEDED AFTERWARDS TO COMPLETE LANDING AND TAXIED TO PARKING WHERE I SHUT DOWN THE AIRCRAFT. THE PLANE CONTINUED TO RUN NORMALLY UNTIL SHUTDOWN. I AM UNSURE OF THE DAMAGE AT THIS TIME, MOST NOTICEABLE WAS MY FLAP WAS BENT AS IT WAS IN LANDING CONFIG AND MY GEAR DOOR CAME OFF AND WAS COVERED IN DEER GUTS AND BLOOD. MY MECHANIC IS CHECKING ALL OF THE SYSTEMS, PARTS, AND THE PROP AND WILL LET ME KNOW.

DAMAGE WAS TO LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT. DEER STRUCK PROPELLER, LOWER ENGINE FAIRING, EXHAUST PIPE, LANDING GEAR DOOR AND CONTACTED FLAP OF LEFT HAND WING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
