## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING AN INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT THE CFI ATTEMPTED TO LAND AT KIWA 30C IN HEAVY CROSSWIND 17G21 AND WAS UNABLE MAINTAIN RWY CENTERLINE. DURING THE LANDING ATTEMPT, THE CFI REPORTED HIS POWER WAS AT IDLE AND TRIED TO RE-CAPTURE THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE WHILE FLARING, BUT BY THE TIME A GO-AROUND WAS INITIATED, THE A/C WAS TOO SLOW TO BECOME AIRBORNE AND WAS BLOWN OFF TO THE RIGHT EDGE, STRIKING THE TAIL SECTION ON A RWY EDGE LIGHT. NO INJURIES TO EITHER OCCUPANT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
